Did Gérald Genta Design the Swatch?

In this video I describe how a ~1966 Omega Seamaster Cosmic 18K gold prototype watch case became the design reference for the iconic Swatch case design and evidence that the designer of the Patek Philippe Nautilus and the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Gérald Genta, designed it.

With nearly three quarters of a billion Swatches sold to date, if this watch dates to 1969 or earlier it changes the history of Omega, Swatch, and the Swiss watch industry. If is confirmed to have been designed, made and signed by Gérald Genta then it's arguably even more historically significant.

Before opening any vintage watch or clock for the first time I recommend checking it for radium paint. I didn't do that in this video because it wasn't the first time that I opened this watch. For more information on radium and how to check for it using a geiger counter see either of these two videos:

The NetIO GC10 that I use is no longer made. It uses an SBM-20 geiger muller tube, which is also used in the GQ GMC-300E and other geiger counters. If you find one of those it should perform similarly.
