From MrTurbodiesel's perspective: The Legendary 5.9L 24V Cummins Diesel is supposed to be a very reliable diesel engine. To prevent the Bosch VP44 Fuel pump from failing, ALWAYS be sure to add in diesel fuel injector cleaner in your fuel tank every time you fill up. That's how you will prevent the Bosch VP44 Fuel Pump from failing. The Bosch VP44 Fuel Pump is supposed to replace the Mechanical Fuel Pump for Pre-EGR Emissions of Mid-1998 (1998.5) for cleaner tailpipe emissions for the environment. If you do those things, then you'll have a great running classic 24V Cummins! But DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUCK TO AN TOWING ABUSE TEST! Please Like, Subscribe, Follow, Rumble & Enjoy. Thanks.
