NEW COVENANT BELIEVERS DON'T BRING A SACRIFICE TO CHURCH

They bring rejoicing. In the Old Testament, those who believed in God brought a sacrifice. Now, because of the cross, Jesus became our sacrifice.
Man's religion continues producing ways to earn God's favor through suffering, hard work, and sacrifice. They believe if they have performed one of those functions, God will honor them and give them a favor.
This is always the mark of any type of worship man has his fingerprints on.
Unfortunately, this deadly virus creeps into every church in some form. If we, as believers, don't have a firm revelation of what Jesus has done for us on the cross and at the resurrection, we will slide into a works-based relationship with God.
The church provides a multitude of things that we can do to be a part of the function and fellowship of the congregation. After all, the servants in the house of God make it possible for the body of Christ to function. Each of us plays a part, according to our gifting and the direction of the Holy Spirit.
To make these functions successful, we must understand that we are serving the Lord, not the Pastor or the church board. We are not doing this to get attention or applause. And in some cases, promotion.
Understanding that all the sacrifice demanded in the Old Testament has been satisfied through Jesus Christ is the key to our spiritual success in our relationship with God, the Father.
The apostle Paul took the Galatians to task in the third chapter when he called him out for trying to perfect themselves through circumcision after they had already started in the spirit. The King James Bible says they had been bewitched, in other words. A spirit of deception had come upon them, thinking they could improve what Jesus had done for them on the cross.
The Scriptures tell us that Jesus wasn't embarrassed to recognize that he was equal to God. Because of what he has done for us, we stand in that same position of righteousness. The father looks at us as he looks at Jesus, sons, and daughters of the most high.
