Autoimmune Nightmare #NH — CHD Bus Stories

Laurie received the first of her routine immunizations in 1974. “The autoimmune nightmare began when I was 3 years old,” she tells viewers, “It was this horrific, gripping pain in my stomach.” Years later, a gastroenterologist discovered something shocking: Laurie had an extremely rare intestinal obstruction. At that point, she “thought the nightmare was over.” Yet, Laurie continues to struggle with health issues. Learn more about her experience in this CHD Bus Stories interview.
