then another decade fades
A pinch of an ache, a laceration and it’s time to medicate
A selfie a day—a picture of you ain’t keeping doctors away
It’s just the way it goes
As the sleepers lie, are we the last of our kind?

So how’s the world inside of you?
We’ve come this far to turn a blind eye to
Hook, line and sinker reels all the liars through and through
Cos you’ll have nothing left to lose
We’re all in front the line of fire
The indifferent falls it’s true and through

A like for likes in exchange for momentary bliss
A diaper for your face—shows you fear is stronger than hate
Lies after lies, shot after shot so it seeps into your bones
Slavery’s fine as long as you’re not marching the assembly line
It’s just conspiracy
Then the sands of time flow the truth
So how’s the voice inside of you?
It reeks to the heavens sure you feel it too
Life’s cheap and freedom’s steep—the price of putting two and two
