On September 7, 2023, Japan launched an H-2A rocket carrying a National Space Agency vehicle to land on the moon, after unfavorable weather conditions led to the launch being postponed 3 times in July and August 2023.
The rocket was carrying a lunar lander and an X-ray telescope ..
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency said that the rocket was launched from the Tanegashima Space Center, in the south of the country, as planned.
