Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom | Movie Trailer
Prepare to be submerged in the epic return of the underwater kingdom's hero. Mark your calendars for December 20 because that's when "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" will splash onto the big screen. Director James Wan reunites with the charismatic Jason Momoa, alongside a stellar cast including Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman, in the highly-anticipated sequel to the highest-grossing DC film of all time.
This time, the stakes are higher as Aquaman faces his relentless nemesis, Black Manta, portrayed by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Driven by a burning desire to avenge his father's death, Black Manta wields the formidable power of the mythical Black Trident, a force of ancient malevolence. To stand a chance against this formidable foe, Aquaman seeks an unlikely alliance with his imprisoned brother, Orm, the former King of Atlantis. Together, they must put aside their differences to protect their kingdom, save Aquaman's family, and prevent irreversible destruction from consuming the world.
Returning to their iconic roles, Jason Momoa portrays Arthur Curry, who now grapples with the dual responsibilities of being both the King of Atlantis and a new father. Patrick Wilson takes on the role of Orm, Aquaman's half-brother and once his arch-nemesis, now reluctantly becoming his ally. Amber Heard reprises her role as Mera, Atlantis' Queen and the mother of the heir to the throne. Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman shines as Atlanna, a fierce leader with the heart of a warrior. Also making their return are Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.
Under the masterful direction of James Wan, "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" promises to deliver another thrilling aquatic adventure. The film is produced by Peter Safran, James Wan, and Rob Cowan, with Galen Vaisman and Walter Hamada as executive producers.
The screenplay is crafted by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, based on a story by James Wan, David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, Jason Momoa, and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, all drawing inspiration from the rich DC universe and characters created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger.
Behind the scenes, the talented crew includes director of photography Don Burgess, production designer Bill Brzeski, editor Kirk Morri, composer Rupert Gregson-Williams, and music supervisor Michelle Silverman. Visual effects supervisor Nick Davis and costume designer Richard Sale are also part of the creative team.
Prepare to dive deep into the aquatic realms when "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" hits theaters worldwide on December 20, 2023. This thrilling adventure is brought to you by Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Atomic Monster and Peter Safran Productions, and promises to be an unforgettable cinematic experience.
