Watch Repair: ETA 2783 Changing The Date Disc in a Vintage Mechanical Wristwatch

In this video I change the date disc in a Swiss made vintage Catorex watch with an ETA 2783 movement.

I purchased the spare date disc, designed for dials with the date window at six o'clock, on Ebay for $17.19 from the ebay seller "from-swiss," who happens to be located about 1km from me on the outskirts of Geneva.

It took a while but in the end I completed restoring the watch, which was part of a lot of vintage Swiss watch parts that I purchased on the Swiss equivalent of ebay, ricardo.ch, to like-new working condition despite the fact that it came with the wrong date disc, no hour hand gear, and no hands.

It was a pleasure working on another ETA movement. (I've also worked a lot on ETA 2472 movements).
