Today we’re going to talk about the interesting iodine and estrogen connection.

There are 3 types of estrogen:

1. Estrone
2. Estradiol
3. Estriol

All three types of estrogen work differently. Under the right circumstances, estradiol can turn into a form of cancer-causing estrogen. But, estriol is actually anti-cancer. The ratios of estrogen in the body, as well as the health of the body, is incredibly important.

Iodine is an amazing mineral because it helps balance the estrogen ratios. It’s very anti-cancer, and it cleans out the receptors for estrogen. A good source of iodine is sea kelp. If you get sea kelp, it’s best to get it from a very clean and pristine part of the world. Organic Icelandic sea kelp is a fantastic choice. Consuming cruciferous vegetables is another great way to help balance estrogen.
