Deputies shoot and kill barricaded gunman in Waterford Township

Waterford Township police say a barricaded gunman was shot and killed after a standoff with deputies that lasted over three hours. According ot police, they were called to the home on Silverhill Dr. near Walton Blvd. around 3:05 a.m. A female caller said her husband had assaulted her and she left the resident. When police showed up, they were able to get into contact with the 28-year-old man. During the conversations, he threatened to kill officers, kill himself and burn down his house. Officers then heard a gunshot from him.
