Today I want to cover what you need to know about vitamin B4 (adenine). Vitamin B4 basically helps prevent nerve paralysis or a loss of nerve conductivity primarily to the heart. A loss of nerve conductivity can cause a loss of coordination of the muscles of the heart. The eventual end result of a chronic B4 deficiency is fibrillation. Vitamin B4 can also help prevent an enlarged heart.

A few causes of a vitamin B4 deficiency:
• Consuming refined flour products
• Consuming refined sugar

*A great source of vitamin B4 is nutritional yeast.
