In this video, I want to answer another question I received from a viewer: If I lose too much weight on a keto diet, will I end up with loose, sagging belly skin?

The answer is: not if you do it correctly.

What happens is you lose the structural matrix of protein around your body when you have loose skin. It’s also known as atrophy. You can see this take place as cellulite too.

This problem is often a protein deficiency. Unfortunately, you cannot consume protein to fix it. It doesn’t go into the cells. Why? Because of insulin resistance.

Insulin resistance is one of the most common health issues that occur in people who have gained weight—especially in their midsection. Insulin helps you absorb protein and amino acids.

The ketogenic diet fixes insulin resistance.

Keep in mind that doing intermittent fasting with keto will boost growth hormone, which helps preserve healthy proteins.
