Take the Dr. Berg Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz

Dr. Berg talks about macular degeneration and what foods you need to be eating. The macula needs the phytonutrient called zeaxanthin.

To get more of these phytonutrients (antioxidants), consume:
- Kale
- Dark leafy vegetables
- Spinach
- Collard greens
- Yellow, orange, and red vegetables
(corn is yellow, but it's GMO most of the time so avoid)
- Egg Yolks

**You may see conflicting data on the effectiveness of these phytonutrients. I believe this is because the source of zeaxanthin and lutein used in certain studies are synthetic. Whenever you see conflicting studies on a topic, read the actual study to make sure the materials used in the study are the same. Using synthetic antioxidants will give you different results; in fact, they have been shown to be harmful. In other words, there is a BIG difference between synthetic and natural, and don't expect the results to be the same.
