In this video, Dr. Berg talks about why alkalizing the entire body is dangerous because your entire body is made up of many different pH levels, not just one. Your stomach and large intestines are both acid, so if you were to alkalize them, you would end up with some serious health problems. You also have acidophilus bacteria that make....guess what - ACID! This is essential to help kill unfriendly bacteria and help in the absorption of minerals. If your stomach is not acid enough, you will not breakdown protein and you will not kill pathogen, not to mention not absorb minerals.
