In this video, we’re going to take a look at the differences between Healthy Keto and Weight Watchers. Weight Watchers is a low-calorie diet that focuses on weight loss, and doesn't put much emphasis on getting healthy. Healthy Keto emphasizes getting healthy to lose weight—not the other way around!
Weight Watchers recommends that 10% to 35% of your calories come from protein, while keto calls for 20%. They also recommend that 20% to 35% of your calories come from fat, while keto calls for 75%! Lastly, Weight Watchers recommends that 40% to 65% of your calories come from carbs, and keto only recommends 5%.
This high-carb, low-calorie diet that Weight Watchers promotes will spike insulin and destroy your metabolism. Weight Watchers also recommends 5 to 6 servings of fruits and vegetables, as well as 6 meals per day. Frequent eating will continue to spike insulin all day long.
Weight Watchers’ food products also contain unhealthy ingredients like artificial sweeteners, hydrogenated oils, trans fats, white flour, and MSG. A new feature of the Weight Watchers diet allows you to eat unlimited fruit, which can also be problematic.
Healthy Keto is a much better option for your health and long-term, sustainable weight loss. It can even improve the damage to your metabolism caused by Weight Watchers.
