Dr. Berg talks about the difference between gallstones and kidney stones. Gallstones are really cholesterol stones. And these stones can occur if your bile is too low. This could originate from a low-fat diet (low saturated fats), high carb diets, and consuming junk foods. Its recommended that you reduce your carbs, do moderate amounts of protein, do not limit your saturated fats, and keep your vegetables at a high level.

Kidney stones can be either calcium oxalate stones or uric acid stones, which develop because your urine is too acidic. To prevent both, add lemon to your water on a daily basis and include potassium citrate if you are susceptible to stones. For those on a ketogenic diet, your pH may increase thus triggering uric acid stones. Consuming lots of vegetables is a necessity to keep your stones in check.
