Someone asked me, what does excessive carbs mean? How many are too many for your health? In this video, I’ll tell you.
I’ve told you how carbs convert to fat, but this person wanted to know how many carbs is too many. There’s a debate going on that says you can get away with more carbohydrates. But most people who are overweight got that way because of too many carbs.
To calculate how many carbs are excessive, we have to ask: what is normal blood sugar? Since sugar is a carbohydrate, the answer will tell us what the body needs. Normal blood sugar levels are 80-90 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl). Even up to 100 mg/dl is usually fine. However, this doesn’t mean much to people.
To put it another way, a normal amount is one teaspoon of sugar in your entire body. One teaspoon in a gallon and one-half of blood. Thus, anything more than one teaspoon is excess. Pretty obvious, right? Of course the experts say it’s complex, and we can’t understand it. Even though it’s very simple.
The experts will tell you it’s your weight and lack of exercise that causes your diabetes. But think about it! Diabetes is a disease of excess sugar. You need only one teaspoon, yet the average person consumes 27 to 31 teaspoons of sugar per day, resulting in 26 to 30 excess teaspoons of sugar. Yet the American Diabetes Association recommends that sixty percent of your diet should be in the form of carbohydrates!
We have a diabetes problem in our country because so-called authorities are putting out false information.
If you have diabetes, simply lower your sugar intake down very low, and prove to yourself that excessive carbs are the problem.
