1:03 It’s temporary, and there are three things you can do to resolve it

Some of you can’t sleep at night when you first start keto and intermittent fasting. Also, you tell me during the day you have all this energy. You’re just not tired anymore. This is because in the transition phase, called keto-adaptation, you’re switching over to fat burning. Fat has more than double the potential energy storage as carbs.

In other words, you’re using an entirely different fuel, that has more energy. It wakes up your brain. You lie there, unable to sleep. Carbs are more fatiguing. That’s why, when you have blood sugar problems, you want to take a nap after you eat.

Just realize, that when you can’t sleep after you switch to keto and intermittent fasting, it’s temporary There are three things you can do to resolve this:

1. Consume more minerals, especially potassium
2. Consume more B vitamins, which directly help your metabolism. Take double the recommended amount of nutritional yeast.
3. Add more exercise, to burn up more energy
