In this video, we’re going to talk about how intermittent fasting and the keto diet reduce the need for sleep.

Here are some of the facts about sleep and blood sugar:
•Lack of sleep worsens blood sugars
•Good sleep increases your blood sugars, and you won’t crave as much junk food
•High sugar causes brain fog, fatigue, prevents sleep, and decreases sleep quality

Keto and intermittent fasting help stabilize the blood sugars. The keto diet has a neuroprotective effect and also stimulates neurogenesis—the production or reproduction of brain cells.

Brain health is imperative to improve sleep quality. The suprachiasmatic nuclei which control your circadian rhythm are located in the brain. Keto and intermittent fasting support the brain centers that control the sleep-wake cycle. The more you support the brain and brain function, the need for sleep decreases.
