In this video, we’re going to talk about the Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV). EBV is known as the kissing virus because it’s transmitted through saliva. Initial infection can cause fever, fatigue, throat inflammation, swollen tonsils, an enlarged spleen, or an enlarged liver.

EBV has been associated with the following health conditions that can develop later in life:
•Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)
•Fibromyalgia
•Hypothyroidism
•Rheumatoid arthritis
•Hodgkin’s lymphoma
•Stomach cancer
•M.S.
•Lupus, Sjogren's, and other autoimmune conditions
•Hypersensitivity to mosquito bites

The Epstein-Barr virus has the ability to go into viral latency, meaning it can lie dormant. Nutritional deficiencies and stress can trigger a dormant Epstein-Barr virus. Most of the time, stress is the number one trigger of EBV.

If you’ve triggered EBV, the best thing to do is support the adrenal glands. It’s also good to remove yourself from whatever stressful situation triggered EBV. Ensure adequate intake of trace minerals like selenium, magnesium, and boron. Monolaurin found in coconut oil can be beneficial as well.
