In this video, we’re going to talk about what causes wrinkled pruney fingers, and what you can do to fix them. Some people may notice wrinkled pruney fingers after starting keto and intermittent fasting.

Wrinkled pruney fingers on keto are often caused by dehydration. Drinking more water and adding sea salt to your diet can help. Pruney fingers can occur when the volume of fluid in your body is too low and also when you’re low on electrolytes. You might also have low blood pressure.

If you had wrinkled pruney fingers before starting keto and intermittent fasting, then it is likely due to insulin resistance. Some of the time, pruney fingers may be due to diabetes or prediabetes. Low electrolytes as well as low collagen can cause wrinkled pruney fingers.

Over time, keto and intermittent fasting can help. When you’re on a keto diet, you increase your protein intake which increases collagen. This can help improve wrinkles anywhere on the body, not just on your fingers.

Vitamin C helps reduce and prevent wrinkles everywhere, including pruney wrinkled fingers. Leafy greens, bell peppers, and sauerkraut are excellent sources of vitamin C.
