1:00 The truth about antibiotics

In this video, we’re going to talk about antibiotics and weight gain. Even if you’re not taking an antibiotic, there is an antibiotic overuse issue in many commercial foods. Whenever you eat meat that has been exposed to antibiotics, you expose yourself to antibiotics. This can create a problem in your gut flora.

Your gut flora contains trillions of microbes that play a crucial role in digestion, the absorption of nutrients, and immune function. Antibiotics are detrimental to the good bacteria in your gut, which leads to overgrowth of unfriendly bacteria. This leads to cravings, hunger, and inflammation, which ultimately leads to weight gain and insulin resistance.
