In this video, we’re going to talk about oysters. Are oysters good for you and are they safe to eat? Let’s take a look.

Oysters contain many essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals. Here are some of the nutritional benefits of oysters:
• Omega-3 fatty acids
• Zinc
• Protein
• Vitamin D
• Vitamin B-12
• Iron
• Copper
• Manganese
• Selenium
• B1, B2, B3

The problem with oysters is that they contain toxins. If you’re going to eat them, just don’t do it too frequently.

Oysters are filter feeders, not bottom feeders, so they absorb algae from the water. The selenium in oysters counters some of the heavy metals and toxins that they contain. Selenium is very important in helping the liver remove toxins from the body.
