I interviewed cholesterol expert Dave Feldman. First, I explain the basics of cholesterol, so you’ll understand the concepts he describes.

Cholesterol isn’t fat. It provides the raw materials for certain hormones; it makes up all of your cellular membranes, and part of your brain, and insulates your nerves. Cholesterol helps make bile, which allows your body to properly digest certain fats to extract fat-soluble vitamins, and essential fatty acids, and make vitamin D.

Your body makes about 3,000 mg of cholesterol every day. While cholesterol is part of the plaquing in arteries, it’s not the cause of clogged arteries. Instead, it’s a healing substance.

Triglycerides are a type of fat, and I explain how your body transports them with the five different types of lipoproteins.

Dave Feldman is a software engineer who’s become a cholesterol expert, and regularly performs experiments and biohacking on himself. In this video, he explains cholesterol in an easy-to-understand way. He also talks about the role of keto and fasting. I promise you’ll find his talk both valuable and entertaining!

Treat yourself to this highly informative explanation of cholesterol, keto, fasting, and their role in your health.
