In this video, Dr. Berg talks about the reason why not to put your pet mice on the ketogenic diet.

A recent study says, “A high-fat ketogenic diet causes hepatic insulin resistance in mice.”
Keto Macros in Mice:
• Protein: 8.6%
• Carbs: 3.2%
• Fat: 75%

But the ingredients fed in mice are:
• Lard
• Butter
• Corn Oil
• Casein
• Cellulose
• Minerals
• Vitamins
• Dextrose

If you ever hear anything related to the ketogenic diet causing a fatty liver, diabetes, insulin resistance, and high cholesterol - look at the actual study, see if it is a mice study, and find out what these mice ate.

Note that Ketogenic Diet applied in mice is very DIFFERENT from the Ketogenic Diet for humans.
