In this video, Dr. Berg talks about heart attacks and diuretics. One of the most common diuretics is called thiazide is taken to lower blood pressure and could cause potassium deficiency 40% of people taking diuretics develop a condition called hypokalemia or low potassium in the blood, increases the risk for arrhythmias, problems with the pacemaker of the heart and increases the risk for heart failure by 10x.

Potassium deficiency in general increases blood pressure.
Before someone could get arrhythmia issue due to loss of potassium, they are going to first have symptoms in skeletal muscles:

• Cramps
• Tetany
• Muscle Weakness
• Tight Muscle
