Tape Dispenser
This is probably the biggest time saver of all. Cutting tape with scissors just doesn’t cut it. For recommendations, there are two types I would recommend. The first is the one I use and it’s a basic tape dispenser. Also, there’s a special one that pre-cuts the tape for you. The pre-cut size will work for pretty much everything except tumblers. Overall, it’s a fantastic add to your workshop.

Paper Cutter
Next, we’ll talk about one of the most used tools in my workshop, my paper cutter. Mine is just a cheap guillotine cutter from walmart, but it’s 100% worth picking up a nice one. Most have a 12” cut capacity and that makes it very handy for any small project. It’s MUCH better than using scissors.

Heat Gloves
For most items, good heat gloves are absolutely necessary. There’s no sense in burning your fingers trying to remove paper.

Butcher Paper Roll Holder
This is another amazing thing that you need. Several places make a paper cutter that fits the 18” roll of butcher paper that’s commonly used. One of these will make your life easier, especially installed near your heat press. It’s a simple roll holder with a built in cutting tool. In a future video, I’ll be showing you how to make one of these from scratch. I’ll also drop a link where you can buy one

Infrared Thermometer
An infrared thermometer is worth picking up whenever you need to troubleshoot an issue with your press. I always keep a decent one around. Mine is a hobby one from HPI, but you can also find them at Harbor Freight and on Amazon.
