Today we’re going to talk about MCT oil and whether or not it will lead to higher cholesterol levels.

No, I don’t believe MCT oil will raise a person’s cholesterol. There are even some studies that show that it may lower cholesterol because it increases bile flow. Bile is essential in dealing with excess cholesterol. It can help break it down and push it out of the body.

Virgin cod liver oil is actually 55% MCT oil. Virgin cod liver oil may also potentially lower a person’s cholesterol.

After you consume MCT oil, it breaks down quickly, goes to the liver, and it turns into ketones to give you energy. MCT oil may be helpful, especially in the transition phase as you get into ketosis, to help you fast longer.

It may help you feel more satisfied, give you more energy, and reduce brain fog. It may also help you to be able to exercise for longer.
