Today we’re going to talk about rosacea. This is where your cheeks are red, and you have small capillary breaks. The cause of rosacea is unknown.

The normal treatment for rosacea that seems to be effective is an antibiotic that’s also antiparasitic. Given this information, this condition could potentially be caused by a parasite or bacteria. Ivermectin also seems to help people. Ivermectin is antiparasitic and anti-inflammatory. It’s also anti-lice and anti-scabies.

Rosacea is seen in Cushing’s disease, where the person has a high level of cortisol. Cortisol is anti-inflammatory, but if you have high cortisol, you could develop cortisol resistance. This means that you’re not going to get those anti-inflammatory effects. It’s also possible to have steroid-induced rosacea. This could mean that cortisol resistance, which creates a cortisol deficiency, sets a person up for this condition.

A few things that may trigger rosacea:
• Extreme temperatures
• Strenuous exercise
• Heat or sun
• Sunburn
• Stress
• Cold winds

It seems that this condition could be induced by a combination of adrenal dysfunction, a parasite or some microorganism, and maybe an imbalance in the gut. People with SIBO also have a high risk for rosacea.

Potential remedies for rosacea:
• Neem oil mixed in coconut oil applied to the skin
• Wormwood extract (use orally)
• Clove (use orally)
• Fasting
• Support the adrenals
