BACKGROUND
Two new Amex Platinum Card designs were announced on December 02, 2021 and became available to new and existing cardholders on January 20, 2022. The card benefits remain the same, though you can now choose between 3 total designs when applying (Platinum Classic, Platinum x Julie Mehretu, and Platinum x Kehinde Wiley).

HOW TO GET THE NEW PLATINUM CARD DESIGN

1. If you are applying for the Amex Platinum Card for the first time, you can choose your card design at the beginning of the application process.

2. If you already have the Amex Platinum Card, you can request a replacement online, via the Amex mobile app, via phone, or via chat. Details below for online methods.

AMEX PLATINUM CARD REPLACEMENT – ONLINE
1. Sign into your Amex account via desktop & select your Platinum Card
2. Click on Account Services at the top horizontal menu
3. Choose Replace a Card
4. Go through the prompts to complete your request

AMEX PLATINUM CARD REPLACEMENT – MOBILE APP
1. Sign into the Amex app and select your Platinum Card
2. Tap on Account in the bottom right menu
3. Tap on Replace a Card
4. Go through the prompts to complete your request
