This video is a response to Wristwatch Revival's video entitled, "This $25,000 Rolex Was Exposed to Seawater!" published June 11, 2022 with a thumbnail that read "EVEN ROLEX REFUSED TO FIX IT..."

I enjoy watching watch restoration videos so much that I recently started making them myself. In particular I like judging for myself if I think other videos are honest or not, because the idea behind my videos is that they are honest and also complete (the full versions show all of my mistakes). In general I like Marshall's videos and find them more honest than some, but his titles and thumbnails sometimes border on click-bait. In this one, the click-bait was in the thumbnail: the claim that the watch had been refused service by Rolex.

I have several Rolexes, and have had them serviced by Rolex in Geneva, and though anything is possible, I found this highly improbable. Moreover, I saw that within hours of publishing it dozens of comments on the video were hating on Rolex for its alleged refusal to service this watch. I left a comment asking Marshall if the customer had show him any documentation to verify the claim that Rolex refused to service the watch, and then received comments on my comments questioning why I was asking such questions! I answered that my experience with Rolex has always been positive, and then I made this video in which I discuss my experiences in detail.
