Kosovo police release footage of monastery siege

Kosovo police on Tuesday (September 26, 2023) released drone footage it said showed a group of heavily armed men sitting outside one of the buildings of a Serbian Orthodox monastery in Banjska village. Kosovo authorities say around 30 heavily armed ethnic Serbs stormed the village on Sunday (September 24), battling police and barricading themselves until police recaptured the monastery late on Sunday, after three attackers and one police officer were killed.
