Chronological Bible in a Year 2023 - September 26, Day 269 - Nehemiah 1-5

Welcome to Day 269, September 26th, 2023. We read now of the story of Nehemiah, a man of faith and prayer to the Lord sent to the city of Jerusalem after a prayer to return to build the wall. Upon arrival, Nehemiah inspects the wall. The rebuilding of the wall commences and the names and people and their part of the construction is listed. There is opposition of the work led by Sanballat and Tobiah. But after Nehemiah prays and stirs the people, the work continues. Nehemiah stops the oppression of the poor and his generosity is recounted.
