Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg would neither confirm nor deny President Joe Biden's support of a four-day workweek for UAW members.
The United Auto Workers have been on strike for over a week against the Big Three automakers in Detroit, Michigan. Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis have refused to budge on the union's demands for decreased hours similar to a four-day week, along with a 36% pay bump over the next four years.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said on Sunday she is not ruling out potentially supporting a Republican-led effort to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). The New York Democrat made the comments after being asked during an appearance on CBS’s Face the Nation about Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and other House Republicans threatening to bring a motion to vacate against McCarthy. Ocasio-Cortez said there were “absolutely” grounds for such a motion, arguing that McCarthy had “been very weak.”

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) recommended that his Republican Party win some policies instead of squabbling over budget items. Jordan appeared on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo with six days left until the deadline to fund the government. The House has only submitted four appropriations bills to set the government's budget for the year starting Oct. 1. There are eight more that have yet to advance.
