NASA prepares for OSIRIS-REx to return space dust from an asteroid to Earth

On 24 September 2023, OSIRIS-Rex will return to Earth. The NASA spacecraft was in orbit around asteroid Bennu for 18 months. It touched down on the surface 20 October 2020 to collect an estimated 400g of material from the asteroid.

The Sample Return Container will land in Utah at around 9:00AM local time. (15:00UT), where NASA's recovery team will be waiting.
