The valley will stay mostly sunny with a high of 97 and moderate air quality, just above average. We'll see partly cloudy skies over the mountains this afternoon with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms during the heat of the day, making it feel a bit humid up there with highs in the mid-80s in the Kern River Valley, low-80s in Tehachapi and upper 70s in Frazier Park. We'll also be a bit breezy, with wind gusts to 25-30 mph this afternoon.
