During Zelensky's visit to the Parliament of Canada, a guest of Ukrainian origin was widely applauded by the entire chamber, including the Canadian and Ukrainian presidents.

This man is called Yaraslov Hunka, a former Ukrainian soldier of the 14th Waffen-SS Grenadier Division who was praised by the Speaker of Parliament for having been "fighting for Ukraine's independence against the Russians" during World War II.

Canadian opposition leader Pierre Poilievre demanded an apology from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for honoring this individual.
Trudeau, however, placed the blame on the Speaker of Parliament, who assumed "full responsibility."
