5 years later 211 Acre Southern Illinois Project property update

Southern Illinois Project 211! Who was with us during that megalithic land improvement project?? Wow! Well I finally got back out there just the other day and here is a preview video of how our Kapper Outdoors Project 211 is looking now in Sept 2023! In today's preview video you'll get a good idea of just how far this once overgrown and out of compliance CRP property has come! When we bought it, it was pretty much a jungle and the CRP (Conservation Reserve program) was out of compliance. The previous owners had thought that they had it back in compliance, but that was not the case. So in working with the US farm service bureau we crafted a whole new CRP plan that transferred nearly 80 acres (I'm going be memory at the moment but it was a LOT of acres to plant new trees in!) from grassland CRP over to tree planting CRP for a host of reasons. The wildlife benefit will be immense, and the new property owners will reap the future CRP rewards with a large chunk of this CRP plan being in a new tree planting/reforestation as the native tree planting CRP plan holds a higher priority than grassland CRP plans.
