Local animal shelters waiving adoption fees this weekend

Area shelters, including SPCA Tampa Bay, will waive adoption fees this weekend in order to get furry friends into forever homes. But adopters should avoid common mistakes, so they don't have to "return" pets: make sure everyone in family, including other pets, get along with potential new animal; do homework and research on animals (especially how big they get); check with landlord about hidden fees.
