Driving around Bennettsville - 2019 - Salem Road to the Ice Plant

A drive through part of Bennettsville , South Carolina that I did on September 25 , 2019 . I meant to load this sooner , but forgot . I am home for a month due to surgery and was going through my computer and found out I didn't add this to my YouTube channel . It starts out at Brushy Bay Road and Salem Road where I lived from birth to starting 1st Grade. We owned a trailer at Fowler's Trailer Park. Just after I was starting school we moved to town where I lived across from Hidden Valley Apartments and behind the South Carolina National Bank in the big green house on the hill on East Market Street.

We then go down Salem Rd passing by my Grandmother's old house , or as we called her , Big Ma . Down the By-pass a little to Downtown , past the Greek's Ice Plant , and then stop at McDonald's where I worked in high school 1984 to 1985. I will be loading another video that I did the same day of driving through Firestone , starting from leaving Sunset Memorial Cemetery , etc.

I make it to Bennettsville about every 2 to 3 years and try to take lots of pictures and videos . I grew up here and graduated in 1985 and went into the Army and traveled to Germany and all around Europe. I now live in Las Vegas , Nevada and have been here since 1991. I do intend to retire in The South , but not Bennettsville. It was a great place to grow up as a kid back in the 70's and 80's , but those days are sadly long gone. Of course we all couldn't wait to get out of Bennettsville as kids and travel the world. It's all part of growing up , spreading your wings and soaring.
