Minecraft and the Bible - Genesis 13-17 ⛏️📖

In this Let's Play series, we'll be reading the book of Genesis from the Bible while playing Minecraft! We'll follow along as God continues to bless Abraham and his family, and as they face new challenges. We'll also meet some of the Bible's most famous characters, such as Lot, Hagar, and Ishmael.

This series is perfect for people who love Minecraft, the Bible, or both! It's a fun and educational way to learn more about the Bible and its stories. ⛪️

*as an additional side note, this is my first experience with Minecraft, so this Let's Play will probably move a bit slow.

Genesis 13-17 is a continuation of the story of Abraham and his family. God continues to bless Abraham and promise to make him a great nation. However, Abraham and his family also face new challenges.

Genesis 13 tells the story of Abraham's separation from his nephew Lot. Abraham and Lot have become so wealthy that they cannot live together in the same land. Abraham allows Lot to choose the first choice of which area to settle in, and Lot chooses the well-watered plains of Jordan. Abraham then settles in Hebron.

Genesis 14 tells the story of Abraham rescuing Lot from captivity. A group of four kings attack the plain of Jordan and capture Lot and his family. Abraham and his men attack the four kings and rescue Lot.

Genesis 15 tells the story of God's covenant with Abraham. God promises Abraham that he will have a son and that his descendants will be as numerous as the stars in the sky. Abraham believes God, and his faith is counted as righteousness.

Genesis 16 tells the story of Hagar, Sarai's servant, and her son Ishmael. Sarai is barren, so she gives Hagar to Abraham as a concubine. Hagar becomes pregnant and gives birth to Ishmael.

Genesis 17 tells the story of the covenant of circumcision. God appears to Abraham and changes his name from Abram to Abraham. God also establishes the covenant of circumcision, which is a sign of the covenant between God and Abraham's descendants.
