Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly (Kaz. Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly; 1818, according to other sources 1823, Bukeev Horde - 1889 or 1896) - Kazakh folk musician, composer, dombra player, author of kyuis (pieces for dombra). He had a great influence on the development of Kazakh musical culture.

"Be safe, sister, be safe!" — Kurmangazy's composition for his mother. This situation arose on the eve of Kurmangazy's "narrow road and slippery journey", i.e., he escaped from the Orda prison and was uncertain whether he would return from this journey or not. The gravity of this is that, firstly, this is the first eclipse and we don't know when it will come. Therefore, this work was created during the period when the composer lost his mother for the first time and was absent for 6 years (1857-1863).
