Welcome to Refinery Life Australia.

The focus for the coming few Sunday mornings is evangelism, sharing the gospel with a sense of urgency, seeking to persuade the uncommitted and non believers to put their faith in Jesus Christ.

The theme is “Today Is the Day of Salvation.”

Today we are talking about The Lostness of the Lost Man.

The New Testament clearly teaches that God so loved a lost and needy world that He gave His only Son to die on a cross so that the world might be saved.

On every page of the Gospels, we see that Jesus Christ was concerned about the lostness of people, He wanted rescue and restore them to the Father.

And the lostness of people was such a pressing burden on the apostle Paul’s heart that it caused him to become a spiritual workaholic for God as he sought to evangelise the world.

Romans 10:1 NKJV, Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.

Why is it that modern day Christians have no sense of urgency to help save lost people from the fate that follows a life of no faith in Jesus Christ?

Is it possible that we have let the devil blind our minds he has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the way to become children of God? (2 Corinthians 4:4)

Surely if satan can blind our minds to the lostness of people, we will not urgently press on them the claims of Christ or point out to them their need to trust Him as saviour.

Let’s consider some of the losses lost people experience because they are apart from God and living in unbelief.
