Armenian police on Wednesday detained several people in Yerevan who blocked roads in protest against the surrender of the breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Hundreds of protesters, angered by the government's inaction over the final collapse of Karabakh's Armenian authorities, clashed with police in central Yerevan. They demanded the resignation of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan who presided over defeat to Azerbaijan in a 2020 war.

Pashinyan has publicly accused Russia in recent months of not doing enough to support Armenia. He said on Tuesday that unidentified forces were talking about a coup in Yerevan. #Armenia #Protest #reels #videography #voanews
