Pondicherry (or Puducherry) was a French colonial settlement in India. Now it is a Union Territory town surrounded by the State of Tamil Nadu.
We'd heard about "Its French legacy which is preserved in the French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques" so we were excited to check out this 'French' Town in India 👍🇮🇳 BUT.........
