Despite assertions that adults in the 80s were not a viable customer base, Nintendo gently targeted grown-ups with a healthy selection of GameBoy games that blurred demographic lines. Mom & Dad might not be interested in Mario or Castlevania, but they might be compelled to purchase a game or two with a lower barrier of entry; games that fit the more fickle tastes and schedules of busy American adults.

This meant that the GameBoy had a ton of adult-friendly sports games and puzzle games.

Today we’ll look at a few GameBoy titles that, while probably not specifically targeted at grown-ups, could potentially appeal to kids and adults alike.
