Lyrics:
I walk into the green valley
The birds singing their sweet song
I hear the stream run from down the rocks
As the wind rushes through the air
I hear the leaves sway in chorus
The waves visualise on the grass
I hear the cattle in the other fields
The sound of sheep living in peace
There's no sound when I walk through
Nothing can destroy this peace
Deep in this serenity
I see the stone monument
A testament to my love
Far from humanity close to peace
Somewhere I can go to live
A slice of bread, a cup of tea
The beautiful silence of nature
I hear the water inside the well
I pick up a home made sandwich
And drop it down to the girl I keep
I get nervous in the fields
As I lie beside her pool
I never want to lose her
I should always keep her hid
My time with her today ends
I kiss her soft rocks goodbye
I walk back to mundane life
Waiting to see her again
I see a figure in the distance
Holding a butchers knife, it's chest out
As water drips down the knife I leave
And the figure waits for me to leave
As it stares into my fearful soul
Tomorrow same place
I'm feeling hotter
Can't contain myself
My shame on display
And yet I don't care
I see it again
On the far off hill
Roots grow from it's hand
The water still drips
I bring her some bread and wine
A communion we will share
I worship her in my mind
Worship her with my body
I do not sin against her
And feel sick when I must leave
I'm alone as I walk to my house
Ignoring the others out tonight
No one even tries to bother me
I just wander to where I'm alone
The next day no one talks to me
I sit at my desk with no one
I eat with no one close to me
I leave with no one beside me
I see it in the hills
With blood covering it
The water dripping down
And roots growing longer
I arrive at her monument
A rock missing from the side edge
I peer down but I see nothing
Forced to turn round to face it
Confronted by the far figure
I stare into what's inside it
As I'm forced down the monument
In a soaked world
I awaken
Moss surrounds me
Darkness drowns me
All my movements
Echo around
Dripping water
Keeps me conscious
A boulder moves to the side
And I peer into the space
A bridge over the blackness
Made of pure rock and pebbles
I hear a stillness out there
So I step out of the pool
Onto the dry rockery
And I traverse the new land
I walk for hours
Travelling far
Not quite silent
Water rushing
And I can feel
She's everywhere
Yet she's nowhere
But she is close
As the path descends
My heart starts beating
A pool of water
With 4 heads that split
My thoughts are on her
I walk on the water
My vision turns black
As I wake to her
She comes up from the water
Her body covered in wrinkles
Plants growing in the folds
Her decaying hand grabs mine
She drags me to join her
We will always be together
I will always love her
We'll be here forever
