JESUS CALLING by Sarah Young is a record on many inspiring and encouraging words spoken by Jesus afresh from Heaven today! Should we consider this strange, or a contradiction to the established Word of God? Let’s see what the Bible teaches!

Revelation 22:21-22 KJV warns us “not to add to nor take away from the prophecy of THIS BOOK” – meaning, the book of Revelation! Therefore, prophecy today cannot and should not be considered as “adding to the prophecy of the book of Revelation” – nor should it be considered as adding to the Bible.

Elsewhere, Acts 2:17-18 KJV tells us that in the last days we should expect to see both men and women using the gift of prophecy to edify the church. (1Cor14:4b KJV)

Furthermore, Revelation 11:3 KJV teaches us that the Lord’s two witnesses shall be prophesying throughout the great tribulation. Will they be “adding to or taking away from the prophecy of the book of Revelation” or the Bible? Certainly not!

Brothers and sister, we are not to despise prophesying! (1 Thessalonians 5:20 KJV) Rather, we should be seeking after this gift, and then be learning how to hone its use and to responsibly use this treasured gift from the Holy Spirit.

Of course, any new prophecy should not contradict what is already recorded in the Word of God! Any new prophecy should always minister faith, joy, hope, love, and praise to the church! (Philippians 4:8 KJV)
