The Book of Ecclesiastes and the Vanishing Point

Ecclesiastes uses the vanishing point to illustrate the meaninglessness of life. The preacher says, "All the rivers run into the sea, but the sea is not full. To the place where the rivers flow, there they flow again" (Ecclesiastes 1:7). He is saying that everything in life is on a cycle. We are born, we live, and we die. And then we start the cycle all over again.
