UK Gov Puts Cancel Target On Russell Brand

Police have been urged to investigate allegations against Russell Brand as a government minister encouraged women to report sexual abuse. Caroline Nokes, Conservative chairwoman of the Commons Women and Equalities committee, said that “celebrity can act as a shield” for abusive behaviour. More women have come forward with allegations about their treatment by Brand after the entertainment industry was thrown into turmoil by an investigation over the weekend by The Times, The Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches. Brand denies the allegations.
